HUNTSVILLE, AL — Interfaith leaders in Huntsville, home to one of the state’s oldest faith dialogue groups, have invited Governor Robert Bentley to meet with them to see how religious diversity contributes to a thriving community.

A letter written by Rabbi Beth Bahar of Temple B’nai Sholom, North Alabama’s oldest Jewish congregation, and by the Rev. Dr. David Freeman, president of the Leadership Council of Huntsville’s Interfaith Mission Service, was signed by 34 other religious leaders and mailed this week. It invites Bentley to speak with a gathering of leaders from Huntsville’s various faith traditions when his schedule allows.
