Jews, Muslims Honor Common Heritage 10 November , 2010

The nation’s second-oldest Jewish synagogue and a Savannah mosque are coming together for a weekend of interfaith diologue.

The coming together is aimed at honoring what unites Jews and Muslims.

The temple, Congregation Mickve Israel, and the mosque, Masjid Jihad, are holding dual services as part of a worldwide weekend of interfaith understanding organized by a New York based non-profit.

Imam Maajid Ali will speak at the temple and Rabbi Mark Belzer will speak at the mosque.

Belzer says, the theme is common heritage
